We're HALFWAY THERE! I can't believe in 20 more weeks (give or take) we will get to meet this little one who is moving and grooving in my belly! We had our ultrasound this week and got to check out the toes and fingers and every little bit that is growing big and strong! We also found out that it's a LITTLE GIRL in there! No more calling the baby "IT"! We celebrated with homemade gluten free lemon confetti cupcakes with pink frosting. Every exciting occasion deserves cupcakes...don't you think?
This was such an awesome experience to enjoy together - it melted my heart to see how proud and excited my hubby was. He is going to have to wait for a little boy to lace up football cleats with - but I'm guessing that this little gal will be become quite the football fan herself...and her daddy is going to be wrapped around her little finger. See those fingers up there by her nose? Yep, those are yours Dad.
Now that I know it's my little girl in there - it's got me thinking more about parenting and not as much about being pregnant. This just got REAL my friends! I have a sweet, growing baby girl inside of me who will be counting on me and hubby to raise her to be a happy human being. Yikes. Talk about pressure! My prayer is that we can raise her to be a happy, active, confident girl who loves God, loves her family and loves herself.
