As promised - I'm finally getting my latest Marine Corps inspired workout up on the blog for you! A year and a half ago I blogged about my trip to Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii to visit my sister - who lives on the Marine Corps base there with her husband. As we all know, Marines have to stay really, really fit and do some pretty crazy workouts in the process! When I shared the Marine Corps Core - 500 Workout on my blog, it quickly became one of my most popular posts, with tons of views from Pinterest! Last month, I got to return to Hawaii to visit Aubrey and Chris AND their new, sweet baby girl! You can read about the trip here. Chris and I love to compare notes when it comes to workouts, and he was determined to find a kick butt workout for me to share with y'all.
Here's what I'm loving about this workout:
- It involves a football field. My sports fans and military friends collide!
- It combines cardio and core. A super effective calorie burner!
- You get to run suicides. The trainer in me loves torture like that. Mwah ha ha.
- No equipment is necessary.
- The whole family can join in the fun!
When you've completed this workout, you will have run 1 mile, sprinted a 1/4 mile and done 200 ab reps and over 6 minutes of planks! Ooh Rah!
