It's time for a little BUMP update! I'm planning to this once a month throughout the duration of the pregnancy. Obviously - we missed the first few months, but the exciting stuff is what's coming anyways, right?! I'm totally doing this in survey form because I love surveys and hey - it's easy.
Ok here we go...
Ok here we go...
How many weeks - 12 1/2 weeks!
Fruit - Baby is the size of a PLUM!
Gender - I don't know! Lately I've been feeling BOY. Hubby is convinced it's another girl.
I'm feeling...- Great! I am so dang lucky. Most days I have great energy, no nausea and pretty much go on as usual! Now that we've had some warmer days here in TX I have feel a little woozy outside sometimes. It makes me a little nervous for when the "real" summer hits! I've noticed I feel MUCH better when I've had plenty of water!
Cravings - I've been craving lots of random stuff! Carbs and spicy food a lot, BIG TIME SWEETS (I may have eaten 90% of the cupcakes I made for the superbowl within 3 days...) and even weird stuff like nutritional yeast! I've been wanting it on everything (hello Vegan Mac & Cheese!). It's crazy because it's really high in B vitamins and Folic Acid which a preggo mama definitely needs. Isn't it cool how our bodies crave what we need? Apparently I'm also extremely deficient in chocolate then too...
I kind of gave myself a free pass to eat what I wanted in these last few weeks of my 1st trimester. BUT...I'm ready to crack down a little harder and make healthier choices in the coming months! I know it will help my energy levels stay high, and of course will make the post-baby weight loss a little easier!
Fitness - I've been doing strength 2x a week at my Moms in Motion class, and sometimes another day on my own. I also get a day or 2 of yoga in each week. Running once or twice a week has still been feeling great - usually just 2-3 miles. I've been walking a ton too because it has been GORGEOUS out!
Sleep - I'm not really a good sleeper normally, and pregnancy doesn't help. I've had trouble falling asleep and going back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night. Luckily, I've been using some great essential oil blends that have really been helping me get more restorative sleep.
Mood - overall pretty good! I would say the first 6-8 weeks were the toughest, but I didn't even know I was pregnant! Honestly, I thought I was just hormonal after weaning Little M from breastfeeding. That may have been part of it, but I have a feeling the appearance of bug #2 was more of the culprit!
Clothes - I'm definitely already showing (what they say about pregnancy #2 is TRUE!), but no maternity clothes necessary yet. My favorite jeans are pretty tight, but most of my clothes still fit ok. I prefer wearing running shorts and leggings anyways - so that typically works out just fine.
Stretch Marks - none yet! I managed to avoid them the first time around and I'm hoping to do the same this time!
Belly Button - an inny! Hopefully for a WHILE!
Best Part - seeing the little one on the ultrasound at 8 weeks! I still was in denial that I was actually pregnant so that made everything so real and exciting. Having Little M join us with her hand on my belly made the moment extra special.
Worst Part - Honestly, I've been so lucky. I can't really say there have been any horrible parts yet. I suppose I would say my indecision about food, and my aversion to coffee. I miss my morning brew!

How about you?
Who else is preggo right now? Comment with your due date! I feel like I know a few people due right around the same time as me - and it's always fun to have a friend to go through the process with!
