I have been watching A LOT of football lately. Since my hubby wrapped up his season earlier in the year than the past few years, he has had the chance to enjoy some Saturday college football games! Since I have been dealing with a nasty cold for over a week, I have been pretty content to cuddle up on the couch and enjoy them too! We also got to go to our alma mater's game this weekend to cheer them on in their final regular season game! It was fun to be able to take my husband as a fan - he's always been on the field!
I don't know about you, but watching college athletics can really motivate me. I love hearing the stories of athletes coming from nothing to make it big, or walk-ons turned MVPs. Athletes work day in and day out to be the best at THEIR game. We all have a game we're playing. Maybe it's running your first half marathon. Maybe it's the game of weight loss. Maybe you're training for a triathlon. Whatever game we play, it's the decisions we make each and every day that determine if we are going to "win" or succeed.
Think back to last January...did you make some new years resolutions? Did you set any goals? The year is almost through, but that doesn't mean you still can't make progress on those goals. It can be challenging at this time of the year to stay motivated to work on your game, but I encourage you to look outside of your excuses and treat each day like the most important day of your training. Get out there in the cold. Take the class at the gym even when your to-do list is long. Put the work in, and success is just around the corner!
