So, I officially have been "homeless" for over 3 months. And unfortunately, I have at least another month to go! At least I'm in the comfort of my parent's home...I'm not sure what I would do without them! I was hoping that this month's football life post would include awesome progress pictures of our new house in Texas, but unfortunately, construction still hasn't started! Apparently excessive amounts of rain aren't great conditions for pouring concrete. Come on! It's so hard to sit back and just wait! I'm so ready for our little family to be together again. Thank goodness for FaceTime, so we can see The Coach, and he can see Little M as she changes each day!
One of my friends posted this quote on Facebook the other day...and it really resonated with me in this time of transition. I've been really trying to embrace the transition, look for the good and be patient.
"If it's on God's calendar you can't postpone it. We don't have a choice whether or not to go through the transition, but the choice of how we respond to it is ours."
~David McCracken
This whole waiting thing has made me seriously consider reinstating my life plan of owning an amazing vintage trailer. Not only would it be the coolest thing I own, it would solve SO MANY problems! We would never have to wait to move again - just roll that trailer to a new town! I would never have to pack again - If it doesn't fit in the trailer, we don't need it. And, I'd have the coolest tailgate party at any school. Who needs to build a house when you can buy an Airstream, right? Seriously, I have an entire board dedicated to trailers on Pinterest. Now if only I could get The Coach on board...
While I'm here planning my dream home/trailer, The Coach is busy with the start of another season of Spring Ball! A lot of people don't know that this time exists in college football - but it's actually really fun. It's a month in the spring where the team can practice and get a feel for what they are working with in the upcoming season. It's a time for installing new plays and analyzing talent. I love it because they usually have scrimmages each week, and it's fun to go and watch, and get to know the team for the upcoming season. I'll miss the scrimmages this year, but I'm excited that The Coach is finally back on the field with a new team!
Hopefully next month's Football Wife Life post will have some good progress on our new home! I'll keep ya posted!
how about you?
Anything big you're waiting for right now?
Who's with me on living in an Airstream trailer? It'll be fun!
