Yesterday, I wanted to make my favorite pumpkin chocolate chip cookies so I dug up the old blog post where I originally shared it. In that post, I found a super fun pumpkin workout AND pumpkin smoothie recipe too! As I looked around at the assortment of pumpkins we've accumulated in our house in the past week and thought about how long it had been since I'd actually done a strength workout (oops!) I thought about how fun it would be to revive and recreate my original Pumpkin Power Circuit with my little workout buddy!! So...we whipped up the cookies then headed outside for a little mommy-daughter workout!
Pumpkins are a great substitute for hand weights or kettlebells, and it's super fun to let your kiddos grab a little pumpkin and join in the fall fun! If you want to read my original post (WARNING: I was a total Halloween grinch - still kind of am) and check out the cookie and smoothie recipe too - it's right here!

Complete 10 (or let your kiddo pick a number of reps!) of each of these exercises and move through the circuit.
Repeat if you'd like!
You can change the intensity by increasing your pumpkin size!
This is a super kid-friendly workout and even pregnancy friendly (I'm 21 weeks here).

3. Pumpkin Smash
Stand with hips wider than hip width, toes turned out. March your knees high like you're marching through tires. Bring the pumpkin down towards 1 knee like you're going to smash it (don't!). Switch sides with each march.
4. Pumpkin Tricep Pushups
Place your hands on top of your pumpkin while performing a tricep pushup.

7. Twisted Abs
Sit in boat pose on the ground. Heels can be on the ground or lifted off for more of a challenge. Lean back as far as you can while staying balanced. Bring your pumpkin across from side to side, tapping it on the ground on each side. Use your core to twist, not just your arms!
