how about you?
What is your favorite Thanksgiving side dish?
I had all the intentions of putting together a real post for you this morning but apparently but the weekend got away from me. Something about a needy baby and a hubby back home. So...some of my random thoughts for you today. We can pretend we are on a coffee date or something. I would just LOVE that today! Sleeping babies. Or I suppose it's not-napping-babies. This has been the main topic on my mind lately. And the reason my blog is on the back burner. Sorry guys...I'm not looking for a debate over sleep training. I've got a really happy, well-natured 4 month old who used to sleep in a perfect nap schedule without any effort from me. Well that has all started to fall apart! I guess I need to put some thought into this now if I want her to keep sleeping and me to keep my sanity. I came up with a plan at 3 am last night. I'll keep you posted how that one works out. Girls night. It's not a football season without at least one girls night during an away game weekend (see 7 things I love about being a football wife). Friday night I had one of my best pals come over and we made Asian food and drank wine. And played with the baby that wouldn't go to sleep. I always make something the coach doesn't particularly like. Coconut milk and curry is one of my favorite combos! (And not his!) Here's the recipe we used. I added steamed veggies and served over brown rice. A fun girls night is always good for the soul. The reintegration of the coach. He's back! Our last football game of the season was this weekend and we had our first full weekend day with him home on Sunday! Hooray! I'm so excited for him to be able to spend more time with Little M (aka let me go to the gym and grocery shopping alone occasionally). As happy as we are to have him home, it always takes us a few days to get back into the swing of life together again. We're getting there! And we get to go to a football game TOGETHER next weekend! My favorite! Running. I haven't run in a over week but I'm kind of ok with it. It's officially winter here with freezing temps, and of course it's been beyond windy. So I've been doing other workouts...kind of. Remember how the baby isn't napping? Thank goodness for Mommy and Me Boot Camp and my baby yoga DVD. I did do day 1 of Jillian Michael's Making the Cut which I forgot how much I love! I'm getting the real itch to sign up for races though. The only race I did in 2014 was a 5k and I want to get back into running halfs next year! Thanksgiving travels. We are taking our first flight with baby next week! Eek! I'm trying my hardest not to pack the kitchen sink. I think I've got a good packing list together...now just to get it done! We've got lots on the itinerary for thanksgiving week and I'm excited for our first family vacation! Thanksgiving menu. We are having an early thanksgiving who my family before we head to the east coast to spend the holiday with my in-laws. Thanksgiving food is hands down my favorite holiday food so I'm excited to have it TWICE next week! I'll of course be helping my mom in the kitchen and I'm working on deciding my side dish contributions. I'm thinking cornbread and sausage stuffing and gluten free apple pie. I think I could live on stuffing and pie. Alright...we're off to teach Mommy & Me class today. We have Thanksgiving Themed workouts all week...I'll share soon! I'll leave you with this quote I instagrammed this weekend...it's one of my favorites! I hope you have a fabulous week! Thanks for the coffee date! how about you? What would you talk about if we were out to coffee today?

I would love a coffee date as well! I would have to bend your ear about the 4 month sleep regression that is happening at my house too. Annabelle has been sleeping through the night, minus one feeding around 4:30-5:00 AM for quite some time now, but last nigth she woke up three different times. I've heard this happens at the 4 month mark, so hopefully we will both make it through this stage soon. Sending positive thoughts your way!

Lauren...sounds like we'd have plenty to talk about! I think the 4 month thing is normal...we've got lots of cuddling going on in this house!
