Our little football family {a photo brag sesh}

It's August...whoa! For us, that means two things:

1. Little Miss Makena is almost 4 weeks old. They say "it goes so fast" but seriously girl...S-L-OOOW down! We are almost out of newborn diapers and a few outfits already!

And 2. It's FOOTBALL SEASON once again!

Like many coaching families across the country, we are soaking in the last few days of summer "vacation" and then hunkering down getting ready for fall camp to begin. With this, I usually have to take back a few extra chores; things like hauling the trash can out and cleaning toilets. Man...I love the off-season. But it's not all toilet stains and stinky trash, it's football season! It will always be one of my favorite times of the year, and this year, we have a little one to share it with!

Like any good (read: crazy) coaching family would do, we managed to have some freakin' adorable football-themed photos taken of Makena before the season started. My best friend Michelle of Orange Font not only spent the month away from her home to throw me a killer (and labor inducing) baby shower, but also to help us capture our first few weeks with our newest team member! Having our own personal photographer was totally special and we are so thankful for her amazing gifts! I just have to share my favorites from the football shoot because seriously, who doesn't love a newborn dressed as a football? This baby makes my heart melt, especially when she's in her big daddy's arms! What a great way to kick off the best sports season of the year!
