And today - I am faint of heart.
I hate running.
I'll be honest - I wrote most of this post in my head while running this morning at 7am (way too late) , dragging Miss Oakley through the weeds and sweating buckets. I couldn't wait to get home to my air conditioning.

I'm sure my love with running with be reignited one day. It always is for us crazy runners. One day I'll wake up and it will be all rainbows and butterflies and new running shoes and oh look - I'm signing up for 6 races! But today - I hate running. I hate not being able to breathe it's so humid. I hate the giant trucks that fly by me on the only road I can run on from my house. I hate the sounds of wild pigs and alligators in the ditches. Ok - that last one might be in my head, but it's a fear all the same. I know, I'm making excuses and complaining and y'all really don't want to hear about it. We all have tough workout weather and running slumps blah blah blah. But this is where I stand right now. I keep giving myself permission not to run - and they I go and do it anyways. And then I hate it again. Running is a strange, weird addiction.
So, what now? Well, if I'm really going to give myself a little grace and hold off on doing much running until it's below 95 degrees/90% humidity, I need to get my butt in gear and start ramping up some indoor workouts. I guess it's really the same thing most of the world does in the winter. I've been in the rut of just do SOMETHING for the last year and half with being pregnant and having a new baby - but now it's time to kick it up a notch. I miss that feeling of being really sore! I think it's time to pull out some of my old boot camp workouts and get my sweat on in the luxury of my 75 degree living room. Who's with me? I'll try to share some of my favorites in the coming weeks! Until then - I've got a bunch of no-equipment workouts up on my Get Your Game On page.
Sorry for the little venting session! I actually am loving our new home - just not so much running here!! Talk to me again when it's December and you're trapped in a blizzard. I'll probably not be complaining then. I guess I finally realize why all of the half marathons in TX are in the winter!!
And beware, I'll probably be out doing some sort of sweaty running workout in the next few days. I just can't stop. If you catch me - you can cheer me on. Or call me crazy. Or if nothing else - spray me with a hose.

How about you?
What is the hottest temp you'll run outside in?
