Can you believe it's time for another "bump-date"? This one is extra fun because we had our anatomy ultrasound this week and finally know our baby's gender! It was so fun to see the little one squirming around in there and jumping on my bladder (no wonder I have to pee all the time!). It was also fun revealing the gender to our friends and family. Of course Miss Mak got to help.
Here's a little update on how things have been going lately!
How many weeks - 20 weeks
Fruit - Banana!!
Gender - It's a GIRL!
I'm feeling...- Super excited about having a girl! I was pretty convinced we were having a boy, so I was really surprised but really excited. Also a bit relieved that I feel really ready for a girl, there isn't much I need! As far as pregnancy goes - I'm feeling a little huge. Last month was a big weight gain month for me. Maybe it was a big growth spurt for baby but I also have been living it up on family vacations and girls weekends so I'm sure my cupcake eating could be reigned in a bit. Speaking of which - if you are EVER in Austin, TX you MUST check out Wildwood Bakehouse if you're a gluten free nerd like myself. The place is to die for! I blame them for the weight gain this month for sure. Regardless, I'm still in a healthy range and I'm feeling good.
Cravings - No real cravings anymore except that I like putting hot sauce on everything!
Fitness - I really haven't been running much at all. I'll maybe do some run/walk intervals but that's about it. I've been keeping up with strength training 2-3x a week and yoga at least once. I've also been trying to get 30-60 minutes of walking in every day which is my favorite!
Sleep - I've been sleeping great! I busted out my big "Snoodle" pregnancy pillow so my back has been feeling really good!
Mood - Happy and pretty energetic! Like I said before - the past month has pretty much been a continuous vacation so I've been a pretty happy mama!
Clothes - I'm pretty much in all maternity bottoms now except one pair of capris (which are tight some days!) and workout/lounge stuff. I'm also mostly in maternity tops because they are so much more flattering and comfortable than my other stuff! I ordered a few great pieces from Gap/Old Navy maternity so it's been nice to have some new clothes to wear! It's amazing how much that can affect how you feel about yourself.
Stretch Marks - Still no stretch marks! And I've got my ingredients ready to make a belly butter, I just need to get my act together to do it!
Belly Button - It's getting HUGE but it's still in!!
Best Part - Getting to see our sweet baby girl's face in our ultrasound this week! It was also pretty awesome to take a girls weekend away and get some much needed me time. It was also great to know I had a little buddy along for the ride that I could love on a little extra while we were away! She insisted I eat a few extra desserts.
Worst Part - Just the general feeling of slowing down and feeling big. It's not every day, but some days are rough!
